Ive paid for premium. Its great that the user experiences similar on Mac/iPad/iPhone/web. App has been reliable. 2 requests would make this five stars: (1) allow me to specify a "% completed" metric for each task so I can differentiate between tasks not started and tasks mostly complete. (2) help me better focus on whats important today by supporting start/end dates for tasks. I have tried various combinations of reminder dates, high/low priority, and task tagging in an attempt to help me define whats critical now. As others have mentioned, the only way to get tasks to show up on the "today" list is to set the due date to today.
Todoist is incredible in every way possible. It has literally helped me organize everything in my life. Once you learn the ins and outs it becomes a life changer. I use it multiple times daily. I have been using it for a few weeks now and I couldnt recommend it enough. Thank you to the fantastic people behind this app. After searching forever for something that works for me I can finally say I found something that does. And it does it well. All the features work without any flaws. I have had zero issues and their customer service is top notch. Paid for the premium and will happily pay for it again and again. I throw everything in here from todos to projects like looking for a new home or an peeping for an engagement. It handles it all in an organized way thats easy to use. Todoist can be as simple or as complex as you need it to be.
Favorite things about it: - very affordable premium membership - sharing with others - good reminder system (only for premium) - link single projects to apple, outlook, and google calendars - assign tasks to people - uploads files from computer, Dropbox, and google drive - commenting in tasks are helpful when minor information changes - great web app - constant updates to ensure quality performance
I downloaded Todoist about two weeks ago and it has worked fine until this morning. Now it crashes upon opening.
Crashes and could never launch after using it for a month. Bummer.
Its an amazing app but the problem is it doesnt show the colored circle next to the task in the widget and that was so helpful. I wish they fix that soon.
This app is well done, and the premium upgrade is well worth it
Very easy to use. Tons of features. Clean and simple. Great on and device. After trying many, many apps, this is the one for me.
Paid $20 for the premium app. That is a lot to pay for an app so you would expect quality customer service. I logged a ticket about a week ago and they havent fixed it, let alone reach out to me at all. Very unprofessional considering the amount you pay for the app. Probably switching to Omnifocus if this isnt resolved.
In theory, with Google Home, one can add tasks, move tasks to specific projects, marked tasks complete, and read tasks. However, it appears that the only thing that works is adding tasks to the inbox and a very limited ability to read a list of tasks (only from the inbox, and only todays tasks and past due tasks.) It would be super useful if the features that are alleged to be there actually worked. But, so far, Ive had no luck trying to use them. Disappointed, but hopeful that the integration quickly evolves.
This trend of apps requiring you to create an account before you can even see what they do, must come to an end.
I used Any.do for a while, but Todoist has a lot more functionality for me. The natural language is much easier to work with, and the tagging system is wonderful. I do miss the minimal interface from Any.Do, but Im glad the interface isnt cluttered at least. Very clean. I am a premium member, but I wish recurring tasks werent premium only. I would love the ability to review my day in the morning and see all my tasks, checkup on my progress early afternoon, and review/cleanup at night to move all remaining tasks to another day if needed.
If you want to add a note to your item you have to upgrade. Unless you have 30 bucks a year burning a hole in your pocket you can find many other alternatives for free. Nothing so special hear that warrants the cost.
I could not function professionally without this app. I think one of my favorite parts is the karma points/daily goals. It makes me feel really good about myself!
Needed an app with tiered checklists that could export and import templates. Syncs across devices no problem. Very simple and elegant. Does everything I need it to do.
You cant add anything to your to do list from my Apple Watch...only from my iPhone.
Best to do app on the market. Ive tried them all and none compare.
Customer service is awful. I contacted them 5 days ago and sent several follow up messages. Still waiting to hear from someone. Anyone.
Ive tried: Asana, Wunderlist, Trello, Toodledo. You too can try them all using Todoport.com (Im not associated with that company), just a fan. From all my testing, Todoist has the best mix of efficiency, features, minimalism, syncing speed, and cross-platform compatibility.
