I LOVE THIS APP!!!

This is my favorite app of all time! It is the best to do list and task manager app ever! Ive tried so many and its always miserable to add new tasks. This app makes the process simple and fun! I love love love it! I never write review but I saw that the app had 3 stars and HAD TO SUPPORT IT! This app is amazing get it now.

Excellent

Update: the more I use it the more I like it. Very intelligent and agreeable function and organization. Frequent updates. Clean interface featuring most useful balance of functions make Todoist premium the top choice of all the to-do list apps Ive tried.

Packed up and left!

Once useful app broken by latest upgrade, poor and confusing design choices and software crashes make this one to avoid. It is a pity when a company looses the plot as badly as this.

Mac App Doesnt Sync

This app is only useful if it syncs across all devices seamlessly. It does not sync ever from iPhone to Mac App. Will fix my rating if you solve.

Clean, fast, robust

Todoist is clean, fast, and robust. As the Director of Marketing at a healthcare center, I manage multiple projects with many deadlines and team members. Todoist gives me one place to put everything from my professional and personal life so I can accomplish more, easily.

total mess

After months of using this app. it fell into an abyss of crashes... update after update have failed to fix this and I have no use on iPad or iPhone. Support is responsive and friendly to emails, promising a fix and offering an extension of my paid service by couple of months, but I need the app to work as advertised now, and it has now failed to do so for many weeks and at least 3-4 "fixes". I will be seeking a refund for services not delivered and will move on to a new app...

Slew of idiotic UI choices

Dev, a user should NOT have to resort to multiple Google sessions to unearth critical daily needs (search: ToDoist hidden features). Its a todo app -- why checkboxes solely on the web & desktop; nothing is more effortless nor satisfying than a quick tap in the box. And, why so tap-happy for what should take a max of 1 or 2 taps? The list goes on. But hey, we got a spiffy new icon. Why developers become slaves to "the look", while eschewing function, is beyond me. An extra star for IFTTT integration, the one feature which kept me faithful. But even that fails to overwhelm the persistent UI hassles. Thankfully, my annual subscription dies in April. I certainly understand now why you stand alone in offering ONLY an annual subscription ~ familiarity breeds discontent, triggering abandonment otherwise a few months in.

SMS Reminders not working

I used to love this app…… I even upgraded to the premium account, as I liked the option to be able to receive SMS text messages when my tasks are due (much harder to ignore than regular iPhone notifications). About 3 weeks ago, the SMS function stopped working 80+% of the time, and I’ve been back and forth with the developers over what could be causing this. Basically their response has added up to “tough luck….we don’t know why it’s not working.” The entire reason I paid for the premium service was the SMS reminders, and this isn’t how you treat customers when your product isn’t working. UPDATE 3/23 - SMS reminders still not working consistently (but hey - we’ve got your 29.99 for the year, so too bad) and with each minor update, more issues ensue (when looking at tasks for the next 7 days, today is often absent and dates are missing). After 2 weeks of back and forth emails with the developer, great new ideas like “try deleting the app from your iPhone and reinstalling” are offered (once again, even though that didn’t work from the beginning. Todoist has gone from favorite, most used app to useless and frustrating.

Love this app

Hugely disagree with the other reviews. Been using the premium version for a year to organize my life and LOVE this app. Use it with my spouse and it syncs to all my devices. HUGE FAN.

Crashes and wont work with watch

Everything was fine until the current update. Now my iphone wont work with my Apple watch

Love the app but critical bug was not fixed

Update on 3/24/16 Latest update is very buggy. Having problems adding due dates and new tasks. This is very disappointing. Based on slowness in fixing previous bugs (see below - still not fixed despite promises it would be addressed a year ago), Im beginning to lose trust in this app. When it works, it works well, but that shuts not the case for iOS anymore. What a shame as Ive invested a lot of time and energy into making this my primary ToDo app. I would advise against getting started unless you want to deal with frustration. Original Review The newest version didnt fix a critical ios bug for the Filters feature. In ios only, the :all: parameter doesnt work, making it impossible to see tasks that are assigned to other individuals via :all: & @otherperson filter. This is a bad blow to an already awkward workaround if you are using ToDoist to manage a team of people (it still works in the Mac and Windows versions). The bug was reported immediately after the big ios release a couple of weeks ago, but has not been fixed. Please tackle this and youll get 5 stars again!!!

Why login now?

This is a to do list app, like notes but better, why in the world do I have to sign in and login? Annoying. Otherwise clean and simple.

Upgrade to get reminders!!! Really ???

I came from 2do app and wanted to try this app , It looks good in the beginning . But when I tried to create a task the app asked me for upgrade to premium (28$ a year) just to getting the remainder ,,why??? The remainder is basic thing in any to do app, even Apple remainder app could help me more than this app

Always some silly problems

I have used many To-do apps and none of them are perfect, they all are missing or fail to do something well that another app does well and so on. Todoist came the closest for my needs, but there’s always some silly issue(s) with this app and the developers don’t always seem to know how to fix them. The most common issue is that push notifications will randomly stop working (kind of important for a reminders app) and when it does, it’s usually down for long periods of time (days, weeks, etc.). As of the past few months I haven’t had that issue, but now I have another silly issue: when marking tasks as complete from the today widget, it doesn’t ever update the badge icon on the app anymore unless I open the app. This use to work. Devs offered no real help other than saying they pushed it to their tech team, which is the typical response I’ve gotten from most emails I’ve ever sent. In a few months this will likely be fixed. My subscription expires in that same time and I’m heavily just considering going to a less expensive option. There’s no point paying for a service as simple as a todo app that doesn’t work right half of the time for basic functions.

Works beautifully for me

Love the various integrations that I can use with Todoist as well as its ubiquity across platforms. Having Todoist mange my different projects has been a breeze. Great work. Loving the premium services.

Complete waste of time

I was so excited to have a new organizational tool when I got this app. After start up you quickly realize nearly the entire functionality requires you to pay. Fine, right; I cough up a buck or two for a nice app. Go to pay: almost $30??? Delete immediately. Outrageous price. Waste of time!

Love with a bug

Let me start by saying I LOVE ToDoist. My life is in here. Its perfect for GTD (and if you ask the people around me, theyll tell you Im superwoman... I just laugh and think to myself "no, I just have ToDoist")... And ToDoist is now native on the watch so theres a complication! Yay for that. With that said... - Templates are still TERRIBLE... Give us a "copy as template" button with key dates (i.e. Start, stop and milestones) - No start dates - Theres no way to add an iCloud Drive or Evernote documents to the comments of a task - No way to sort tasks by date, priority or name on iOS (regular view or filters) - Theres no way to bulk assign labels (which is very annoying) - I wish there was a pomodoro timer on the app but that would just be a bonus - Every time you close out of the app, it goes back to the today view. I want it to stay on the filter I was just on so I can focus on those tasks. Those are the features weve ALL been asking for and it seems like you guys are completely ignoring us. Stop focusing on aesthetics and start focusing on functionality! GIVE US WHAT WE WANT! (Please).

Todoist

Always problems with notifications. No one has a clue, notifications, (SMS), stop working and then in a day, or two, or more, they it starts working again for a month or two. Ill be moving on, after my premium subscription ends.

Best todo app Ive used

Ive tried many different todo lists over the years, never quite finding one that did everything I hoped for. Todoist has managed to pull off features I find essential, such as subfolders, subtasks, easy priorities, and solid web, desktop, and mobile apps. I can see myself using this for a very long time. Cant really think of anything Id want to change about it at this point either.

Ehhh

I heard about this app off an article I was reading online. What drew me in was the fact that I could create sub-tasks, which is a really good idea. However, upon creating an account and using the app, I am disappointed. The sub-tasks look like normal tasks to me and can easily see myself get overwhelmed with so many tasks. Another huge drawback is the fact that notifications are a premium feature, which is now like $30 a year! After I saw that, I deleted the app and kept shopping.
